Le Mans - A completely tragic beginning and an incredibly successful end. These words could summarize the events of this season’s last stop of the European Truckracing Championship in Le Mans, France for the north Bohemian team of MKR Technology. Whilst Saturday‘s unreasonable disqualification spoilt any chances to def…History
Since the first starts of Czech racers it was not far to first races in the former Czecholslovakia, but domestic fans had to wait till the first weekend in September 1992, when an open international race was held on Autodrome Most as a test. Howerer only a part of the cup starting field participated, the sport value of the races did not suffer, because next to domestic racers, for example Swedish Stig Blomquist, Slim Borgudd and Curt Göransson, Germans Gerd Körber and Axel Hegmann or British Steve Parrish were present. The races with bit interest of fans took place on Saturday and Sunday in the form of two warm-ups without class difference and following final races. The slower part of the starting grid fought in such a "small final" and the faster racers in a big one, in which Körber and Parrish overcame Blomqist. Karel Patočka won the small final twice.
After absolving the succesful tests Autodrome Most was inserted in to cup calendar and in 1993 on the truck under the castle Hněvín first official races were held. In them French Gérard Cyuner in group A and Körber in group B and Perrish in group C reached two victories each. Best of the quartet of local racers was Vojtíšek. But in the beginning of the race Frankie collided with Stanislav Matějovský and Finnish Minna Kuopal and all of them were finishing with damaged cars and tire defects.
In the second year of Czech Truck Prix, in front of twenty thousand visitors British Parrisch repeated his double triumph, but this time in new opened division Super Race Truck, where Mercedes-Benz clearly dominated. Martin Koloc pleased Czech fans, while he won both Race Truck class races and he reached 59 points of maximal sixty. Matějovský reached silver and bronze after fight with Netherlander Teunis Holstege.
The balance Super Race Truck class in the Most´s cup races in 1995 Swedish Borqudd dominated. But the battle of racers in the prestigious category was held without participation of the only Czech representative Vojtíšek, whose injection pupm stuck in the full speed position during the final testing and he turned his car to upside down during passing the one before the last bend and he could not race with the damaged truck. In the race truck division Swedish Boije Overbring accounted two victories. His biggest rival Koloc suffered by neck backbone sore and finally his eight-speed gearbox failure. His technicians replace it a few minutes before the secon cup race the pilot from Roudnice came for a silver medal after a great race from the last position.
Matějovský fought out two third and two fourth place during the weekend´s groans and a historical success came for Jaromír Malý, who no matter about problem with broken windscreen finished fourth in the first qualification.
The fourth races of truck on Autodrome Most were successful for Vojtíšek, who reached gold after a longer break, when in the Race Truck class he won the cup race and in the second he finished third. The result of the master´s title defender Koloc was signed by exceeding the allower speed in the first day and finally by small power of engine, which was necessary to repair till the next day. But the Koloc repaid the technicians´nicht work by a dramatic fight with Overbrink and finishing on the ssecond place behind German Fritz Kreutzpointer was the fastest, who reminded himself his ten years jubilee from his first start with formula right in Most. The commissaries broke his line of four victories in one event by penalization for exceeding the allowed speed and so the racer had to leave one of the victories to his countryman Körber.
Similarly as Vojtíšek in 1995 Lenz finished on autodrome Most, but the overturned his Mercedes Benz immediately in the passage of chicane at the end of the finishing straight. So the way for full points profit was easier for Koloc, he used this chance fully with his new truck Praha. He was always accompanied by second Vojtíšek on the winner´s post and bronze was seized by Matějovský two times. In the balanced groan of the Super Race Truck class Swedish Borgud and Germans Östreich, Kreutzpointner and Körber shared the victory.
The sixt season of Czech Truck Prix again went out perfectly for the domestic representatives, who did not leave any gold to foreigners in the Race Truck class. At first in the qualification and cup race Vojtíšek, driving in Škoda Xena took it and then Koloc starting again on Sisu get it so coldrly. The prestigious Super Race Truck category was firstly dominated by Östriech, then by Kreutzpointner and finally Finish Harry Luostarinen.
In 1999 a Czech racer returned into the Super Race Truck class. Stanislav Matějovský borrowed and older MAN truck from French Noël Crozier and he fought a great battle with Overbrink. But the fastest were Luostarinen and Kreutzpointner, who secured one of his titles in advance by the victory. In the Race Truck group Vojtíšek again pushed through when he won one cup race and one qualification duel. Penalization stole him another gold, while he stroke a con in the bend and so victory was taken by Germans Lenz and Lutz Bernau.
In the last year of the twentieth century Tatra Kopřivnice entered the races and Matějovský sat into its cockpit in the Super Race Truck class. The east - Bohemia pilot did not miss nor on the races in Most, where he reached the best result of the season, when he finished fifth in the second cup race. Luostarinen and French Alain Ferté shared the victory. Another French Crozier dominated in the Race Truck class, where only one qualification race he was overtaken by Bernau. The only domestic representative Daniel Landa took bronze three times. Vojtíšek firstly starting with new Renault was missing, because his engine was not prepared on time.
Czech Truck Prix in 2001 was again giving points three divisions. In the prestigious Super Race Truck class in the group A Swiss former world sidecar races participant Markus Bösiger dominated. Matějovský reached bronze in qualification at first in the group B and the he enclosed to the master´s title by victory in the cup race. Körber´s results, who race with new truck Buggyra from Martin Koloc´s workshop were determined by technical problems with the car. Vojtíšek again pushed on the winners´posts in the Race Track class, when he won once and once he reache the third place. Another top places were shared by Bernau and Austrian Egon Allgäuer.
Bernau with Allgäuer divided the points for victories in qualification and cup races in the Race Truck category also in the next year of Czech Truck Prix in 2002, when the fight was held in two divisions again. unfortunately Vojtíšek waited for rain and wet track, on which his chances would be higher, for nothing. In the Super Race Track Matějovský was missing, because he hurt his ankle during removing the harms after the floods and so in his Tatra French Ludovic Faure replaced him. But the David Vršecký, member of Koloc´s team became the weetheart of the audience, who reached his biggest success in the cup race. But the victorious joy belonged to Luostarinen.
Gerd Körber from Germany became the winner of the cup and also qualification race in Super Race Trucks category at the Matador Czech Truck Prix 2003 in Autodrom duhové energie Most. Pilot of the Czech Buggyra team defended the title of the European Champion having won the both races with the style of start-finish. Czech truckers were not successful in Most. David Vršecký with Buggyra get third place in qualification and fourth in cup race, Adam Lacko with Tatra get fourth and fifth place. Frankie Vojtíšek did not completed Sunday qualifications in Race Trucks category and did not participate in cup fight due to technical problems. He did not start in the morning sprint of prestigious cup combat due to technical problems.

During one and half round before the finish, however, servo of Vršecký´s truck failed and the vehicle was getting more and more beyond control. Due to this bad luck, he lost his position and finished as 18th. Bösiger won Double, Albacete was on the second position and he lost the image of unbeatable man of Most.
